This just changed my entire outlook on this issue. As a worhip leader I’ve often wondered and prayed for it…sometimes “felt” it, other times not so much. As I realize the significance of CARING enough for the people to connect with Christ in worship…everything else false into place. Thanks so much Darin!!!!

IN MY OPINION THE ANOINTING IS UNYIELDING FAITH. HAVING THE a**URANCE THAT YOUR LIFE IS PREDESTINED AND PREORDAINED BY GOD. REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL AND EVERYTHING THAT HE SAYS WILL COME TRUE, THEREFORE YOU HAVE THIS SENSE OF PEACE THAT THE WORLD DOES NOT UNDERSTAND. SOME PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE ARROGANT, SOME THINK YOU ARE CRAZY BUT, THEY ALWAYS TAKE NOTICE BECAUSE THEY FEEL THERE IS SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT ABOUT YOU. THROUGH ALL OF THE STORMS THAT LIFE HAS TO OFFER THE FAITHFUL TAKE THEIR LICKS AND GET BACK UP. YOU ALWAYS HAVE A TESTIMONY, YOU THANK GOD FOR THE EXPERIENCE BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS COME OUT OF IT A STRONGER WISER PERSON. SATAN THROWS EVERYTHING AT US EVEN THE KITCHEN SINK. HE TRIES TO HIT US IN PLACES THAT WE ARE TENDER IN OUR WEAKEST MOMENT. HE WANTS US TO DOUBT GOD SO WE MUST REMAIN FAITHFUL.

I agree that anointed has become something that is just thrown out there. Some people use it to let someone know they liked what they heard/saw/worshipped with/etc. and also let someone know that they disapprove of their style/sound/preaching habits…eg. “Well TobyMac just wasn’t anointed, He didn’t take me into worship like Rick Pino did”….no offense intended to anyone. I just get frustrated when spiritual people use it to justify their personal likes and dislikes…

James, do you really need it spelled out for you with a Bible verse or can you just look at the heart of Christ and see that it’s biblical? He laid down his life for us. He cared more than anyone on earth.

……Where does that scripture fit in, with dozens of other scriptures that we can refer to. You article seems to me to be more of your opinion, based on your experience, rather than what the scripture teaches.

I will like to be educated if I am wrong.

What confuses me with this article is that there is no biblical basis for your conclusion. Where does the scripture; ‘how God anointed Jesus ………?
